As we all know, Google Sites is a fantastic tool for creating websites without any coding knowledge. However, one of the features that have been missing for a while was the ability to add a login page. But fret not, as I have found a way around this limitation! In this article, I will guide you through the process of creating a login page on Google Sites, sharing some personal touches and commentary along the way.


Before we dive into the steps, there are a few things you need to have:

  1. A Google account: Since we’ll be using Google Sites, you’ll need a Google account to get started. If you don’t have one, you can easily create a new account by visiting
  2. A Google Site: Of course, you’ll need a Google Site to work with. If you haven’t created one yet, head over to and create a new site.

Step 1: Creating a New Page

The first step is to create a new page that will serve as your login page. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Google Site and click on the “Pages” tab on the right-hand side of the screen.
  2. Click on the “Create page” button to create a new page.
  3. Name your page something like “Login” or “Sign In” to make it clear that it is the login page.
  4. Click on the “Create” button to create the page.

Now that you have your login page created, it’s time to add the login form.

Step 2: Adding the Login Form

To add the login form, we are going to use Google Forms. It’s a powerful tool that allows you to create custom forms with various input fields. Follow these steps to add the login form:

  1. Open Google Forms by visiting
  2. Create a new form by clicking on the “Blank” option.
  3. Add the necessary input fields to your form, such as “Email” and “Password”.
  4. Customize the design of your form to match the style of your login page.
  5. Once you’re done creating the form, click on the “Send” button at the top-right corner of the screen.
  6. In the “Send via” tab, choose the “Link” option to get the URL of your form.
  7. Copy the URL of your form.

Now that you have the URL of your login form, let’s go back to your Google Site and add it to your login page.

Step 3: Embedding the Login Form

Now it’s time to embed the login form onto your login page. Follow these steps:

  1. Go back to your Google Site and navigate to your login page.
  2. Click on the “Edit” button to edit the page.
  3. In the page editor, click on the “+Embed” option to add a new element.
  4. Paste the URL of your Google Forms login form into the embed element.
  5. Click on the “Apply” button to save the changes.

And that’s it! You have successfully created a login page on your new Google Site. Visitors can now enter their credentials and submit the form to log in.
