How To Give Presenter Access In Webex

How To Articles

Hello fellow Webex users!

Today, I want to share with you how to give presenter access in Webex. As someone who frequently uses Webex for meetings and presentations, I know how important it is to have the ability to share my screen and collaborate with others. So, let’s dive right into it!

Step 1: Start or join a Webex meeting

The first step is to either start a new meeting or join an existing one. Once you are in the meeting, you will see a toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2: Grant presenter access

To give someone presenter access, you need to be the host or have the host’s permission. Once you are in the meeting, find the participant you want to give presenter access to and right-click on their name. A menu will appear with various options. Click on “Make Presenter” to grant them presenter access.

Step 3: Confirm the change

After clicking “Make Presenter,” a confirmation message will appear on the screen. This message will inform you that the selected participant now has presenter access. You can click “OK” to close the confirmation message.

Step 4: Revoke presenter access

If for any reason you need to revoke presenter access from someone, you can follow similar steps. Right-click on the participant’s name, but this time click on “Revoke Presenter.” A confirmation message will appear, and you can click “OK” to finalize the change.

It’s important to note that only the host or a co-host can grant or revoke presenter access. By default, all participants join a meeting with attendee access, which means they can’t share their screen or control the meeting settings.

Conclusion

Granting presenter access in Webex is a simple process that can greatly enhance collaboration during meetings and presentations. By giving someone presenter access, you enable them to share their screen, present files, and make annotations. It’s a fantastic feature for team collaborations, webinars, and training sessions.

So, next time you’re hosting a Webex meeting and need to give someone presenter access, just follow the steps mentioned above, and you’ll be good to go!
