Step 3: Emptying the Trash
After deleting the emails, they are moved to the Trash folder, where they are stored for a certain period of time before being permanently deleted. To free up space and completely remove the deleted emails, you need to empty the Trash. Here’s how:
- On the left side of the screen, click on the “More” option at the bottom of the email folder list.
- From the dropdown menu that appears, click on the “Trash” folder.
- Once you are in the Trash folder, click on the “Empty Trash now” button at the top of the screen.
