Now that you’re in the conversation, tap on the information icon (i.e., the “i” button) at the top right corner of the screen. This will take you to the details page of the thread.
On the details page, you will see various options such as mute notifications, enable message replies, and more. To remove the entire thread, scroll down to the bottom and tap on the “Leave chat” option.
A confirmation message will pop up, asking if you’re sure you want to leave the chat. Go ahead and tap on “Leave” to confirm.
Step 4: Enjoy a Clutter-Free Profile
And there you have it! You have successfully removed the thread from your Instagram profile. Now, breathe a sigh of relief as your profile becomes clutter-free and organized. No more distractions from unwanted conversations!
Remember, this process only removes the thread from your profile, not the recipient’s profile. If you want to delete the entire conversation for both parties, you would need to ask the recipient to delete the thread from their end as well.
